                  PTI DECIDES 2019


The much-awaited student union election manifesto of the Petroleum Training Institute Effurun were  finally rendered by various aspirants,and the events saw  representatives  from the student affairs division,the Independent student electoral committee (ISEC) of the current and past student union government President and student representative council and other stakeholders of the Institute. The event which took place at the Institution lecture theatre,kicked off with an opening prayer followed by the national anthem which was dully followed by the speech of the  ISEC chairman comrade  Paul Ejomafuwe and the opening speech by the student affairs representative Mrs patience Ewhre who stressed on the need for unionism in the student body as well as the need for the student as electorate to exercise their right to vote in an executive that will propagate a student geology, true integrity, accountability and Prudence.
The event saw sections of manifesto and question segment were Students were given Privilege to ask  candidates questions pertaining to the offices they are vying for.The main  highlights of the event was the delivering between the aspirants for the position of the student union government president. The fan favorites to win the position Comrade Oyieyie Oghenemarho who had gathered a reasonable number of  students, failed to impress  Nigeria students and  the electorate are left wondering if their favourite aspirant is capable of representing them and to face the challenges that are surely going to show up. On the other hand the opposing aspirantes comrade Otitigbe Ogaga who lied  low throughout the campaign, raised  his head and flooded his opponents with his well-structured manifesto that contained his points of agenda which  included a committee of aligning  with management on making decisions and negotiation.He really did well to capitalised on The Weakness of his opponents and played on his docility.
Other positions captured in the event were  the vice-president, General secretary, Assistance Secretary General, Financial secretary, Treasurer,Sport director,Director of Werfare and Social Director.
Campus reporters(TAT) covered  the event and really commended  the ISEC committee for the organization that gave Nigeria students the opportunity to see and hear what there candidates are capable of. Kimuenu Andrew and Ibrahim surnama reporting.
